GT7.3x27

2.5. Functional description

To access the facility, the visitor must read their RFID credential or barcode ticket at the appropriate reader on the terminal. The information is sent over the network (Ethernet or WLAN) to a server for evaluation. A response is then sent back to the terminal after evaluation. When access is permitted, the terminal activates a corresponding relay that unlocks the connected turnstile or gate for a definable period of time.

The configuration of the terminal can be completed on the device itself with limited settings or the full range of settings are available via a web browser (web interface) or via Gantner's G7 Connect. Through the configuration, the functionality of the terminal can be customized to the respective requirements.

Different RFID readers are installed in the GT7.3x27 to provide compatibility with different RFID technologies. The technologies supported by the two variants are:

  • GT7.3527 - Part No. 1113146 (13.56 MHz): ISO 14443 (MIFARE®) and ISO 15693

  • GT7.3727 - Part No. 1113147 (13.56 MHz / 125 kHz): LEGIC advant, Proxy and HID iCLASS®
