5.2. What is the difference between open, closed, locked, and unknown?
These terms refer to the door status of each locker, which is indicated via an icon in the locker field on the Locker view page:
... Locker is open
... Locker is closed
... Locker is locked
... Status unknown
An open locker is one where the locker door is open. The locker may be used (locked) by any locker user who is authorized to use the locker.
Closed means that the locker door has been pushed shut and is being held shut by the lock. This can be achieved, e.g., by the auto close free locker function that ensures the doors of the unoccupied free lockers are always closed. However, the door is not locked in this state and can be opened by any user by pressing the locker door in. The LED of the lock is green by default in this state.
Locked means that a data carrier has been used to activate the electronic lock and lock the locker door. It can only be opened again using a data carrier authorized for the locker or by a MASTER data carrier.
If the push-to-open function is enabled for a locker mode, a locked locker will initially change to the closed state after being opened remotely in eLoxx One, i.e., it is no longer locked but held shut in the closed state. After another remote opening in eLoxx One, the door springs open.
A locker that is displayed with the status unknown means that the lock is not communicating to the controller anymore and thus the door status (open, closed, locked) is unknown.
