1.2. Terminology
The terms used often in this manual are defined below.
eLoxx one
eLoxx one is an extension of the G7 Main controller App, which allows the configuration and control of the connected controllers and locks via a web user interface.
G7 Main Controller App
The name of the software (app) that is installed on the GC7 controller thereby allowing it to operate as a main controller in the locker system.
GC7 controller
The hardware device that is used to connect the sub controllers and the connected locks. The general terms “GC7 controller” and “GC7” are used in this manual to refer to all GC7 variants that can perform this function. For the eLoxx one system this will mainly be the GC7.2000 M or GC7.2000 M lite.
Sub controller
The GAT NET.Lock 7020 locks are connected to a GAT NET.Controller S 7020 sub controller. The sub controllers receive control signals from the GC7 controller via a serial RS-485 interface to control the connected locks.
Lock
General term for an electronic locker lock from GANTNER (e.g. GAT NET.Lock 7020, GAT ECO.Lock 7xxx, GL7p).
Locker
The term "locker" is used to describe all possible locker applications, e.g., a changing room locker, depot box, or private box, which can be locked by an electronic locker lock from GANTNER (e.g. GAT NET.Lock 7020, GL7p).
RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification)
Identification over short distances using radio frequency. An RFID data carrier is used as identification media.
Data carrier
A data carrier is a form of identification media that is used by employees and visitors in a facility for identification. Data carriers are available in a variety of different forms such as plastic wristbands and chip cards. Data carriers are also available to suit different RFID technologies (LEGIC, MIFARE®, ISO 15693).
User
The term "user" refers to the end users (persons) who operate, i.e., lock or unlock, a locker controlled by an electronic locker lock from GANTNER (e.g. GAT NET.Lock 7020, GAT ECO.Lock 7xxx, GL7p).
